Why the Change?

The Stoneridge Corporate Plaza (SCP) park has been a tranquil escape from the office for tenants since the 1990's.  It is a wonderfully unique amenity not found at many businesses.  However, the park was originally installed 30 years ago when sustainability and water restrictions were not as important as they are today.

In 2016, it was determined that the park area should be renovated for many reasons:
  • Expansive water features were using large amounts of potable water
  • Redwood trees, large users of potable water, were beginning to die due to the 2013-2016 drought
  • Sidewalks were becoming damaged by tree roots
  • More parking
  • More recreation activities
  • Shaded eating/congregating outdoor areas
  • More efficient irrigation  (65% savings)
  • Reduced turf areas (90% reduction!)
  • Recycled-water, water features
  • Better & more energy-efficient lighting
  • Better connectivity between the buildings
  • Create an interconnected campus with the new Workday building

Work is also being performed at each of the building entries from the parking lots.  These areas are in great need of renovation due to cracked/deteriorating concrete, dead/dying trees and a lack of bicycle parking.
